This home is probably our biggest success story. It was purchased for less than $10,000 as it was in horrible shape. When we invited an architect to look at the property to give us floor plan ideas, he actually suggested that we demolish the house instead.
This was a home to someone in Albion for a long time, so we didn’t demolish it. We are very happy that we decided to give it a life again and make it a truly beautiful home. We certainly had our work cut out for us, as there wasn’t much that we didn’t have to completely redo.
We changed the layout to make an updated 3-bedroom, 2-bath home with a modern, open concept featuring a front living room that comfortably flows from the kitchen. The master bedroom also has a nice walk-in closet. We completely replaced the roof and windows and installed all new plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. And we expanded and rebuilt the front porch and put on a small deck on the back of the house making these areas both practical and inviting.
